Each of our mares has proven herself in the show pen and comes from an impressive black-type pedigree.

Brett & Margo Davis, Founders & Managers of Gucci Equine, LLC
Team roping competitor, Brett Davis was a star high school athlete in his hometown of Elk City, Oklahoma. He was president of his 2004 graduating class and a member of the national honor society while excelling in baseball and football. As a baseball all-star, Brett was recruited by all top college programs in the nation. He was even drafted by the Kansas City Royals, which he turned down opting to go to college first. He ultimately signed with Arizona State University on a full ride after two years of junior college.

Sidelined early on by a shoulder injury and surgery, Brett left ASU and signed on at Oklahoma State University, where he graduated two years later with a BA in Economics and a minor in Business. After college, Brett played for a year and a half in the minor league for the Kansas City T Bones (now Monarchs). He retired from baseball to jump-start his career in the oilfield and equine industries.
Margo grew up on a farm in Hollis, Oklahoma, 73 miles SW of Elk City. She played high school basketball and softball and was a cheerleader. Her father taught her all aspects of growing crops on the farm: planting, watering, harvesting, etc. She attended Oklahoma State University and received a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Science.
Brett and Margo met while Brett played pro ball, married, and started their ranch on day one. Brett worked for Halliburton as a mud engineer. After three years with Halliburton, Brett moved to a smaller independent company, Mud Mixers, LLC.
Starting as a mud engineer, during his six-year tenure, Brett’s talent and leadership abilities advanced him to the point where he ran the entire company. While at Mud Mixers, Brett and Margo started their horse business, buying, training, and selling horses and building a respected name in the performance horse world. Their goal was to create a brand known for having some of the best equine in all disciplines and. In late 2021, because of their special love for horses, Brett and Margo decided to commit 100% of their time to expanding into performance horse breeding to raise their own horses for business purposes and started Gucci Equine. They bought their horse ranch (Duck Ranch) with 233 acres. With their extensive knowledge of horses and the relationships built along the way with performance horse industry luminaries, in just two years, Brett and Margo have built a band of 33 champion bloodline broodmares that is becoming well-known among all performance disciplines.

Living on the ranch full-time, Brett and Margo are dedicated to making Gucci Equine the #1 source for the industry’s best bloodline yearlings and breeding contracts from champion stallions.
Joseph Harrison – Gucci Equine’s Rope Horse Trainer
Joseph Harrison has proven the king of the rope horse business in 2024, entering the American Rope Horse Futurity Association World Championships having won $199,000 at the Old West Futurity in Utah and helping other ropers to another $225,000.
Harrison has won $706,042 in ARHFA competition, and he’s ridden horses that have sold for hundreds of thousands to the industry’s hottest talents, Brazilian investors and everyday ropers. He’s set the standard for how people can make money in the new era of the rope horse business, and he’s shown a profitable path to success training horses and making a living with a rope—a path that didn’t really exist a decade ago.
Harrison’s template for success isn’t the norm, though. But perhaps it’s the guiding light that horse trainers, and those who want to be trainers someday, model their programs after. credit to The Team Roping Journal
